Jimmy Sites operates best within his gift of telling stories.
Whether he is preaching at a church, teaching a Bible class, leading a small group, hosting a television or radio show, speaking for a company or a pro sports team, or writing a book or magazine article, he loves to capture the attention of his audience with a story. Once that attention is captured, he connects the spiritual message straight from the Word of God, much like a parable.
Jimmy's educational training that helped prepare him for these various roles includes a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Harding University, a Masters of Divinity in Biblical
Communications from Harding Graduate School of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Abilene Christian University. Jimmy also did advanced Greek studies at Brite Divinity School (TCU), and Hebrew language studies at Fort Worth Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 2010 Jimmy and his team won the Big Buck Outdoor Games, competing against the top 20 outdoor television producers from across the United States in a combined bass fishing and turkey hunting tournament. In 2012 Jimmy became a cartoon character in “Kids Korner Outdoors with Jimmy Sites,” and 27 cartoons have been produced teaching children ages 4-12 the various safety measures and ethics related to outdoor sports. In 2014 Jimmy was named American Outdoor Sportsman of the Year by the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame, and in August 2018 he was inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame. His filming adventures take him all over the world, including filming a documentary with a Stone Age Indian tribe in the Amazon Jungle along with Steve Saint - son of slain missionary pilot Nate Saint. Jimmy is a strong advocate of conservation, and he has been interviewed on many radio and television talk shows including Fox News with Gretchen Carlson where he debated the Senior VP of PETA, and on multiple occasions by MSNBC and other media outlets.
